Couples Therapy

Life is complex, and relying on another person can activate many unconscious reactions causing relationship stress. While circumstances can’t always be changed, your relationship can become a place of ultimate safety, trust, and security. Work in couples therapy usually includes becoming more closely attuned to your partner’s needs, developing a strong sense of shared purpose and repairing conflict quickly and easily.

PACT

Danielle does couples work using the evidence-based model of the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). PACT is grounded in developmental neurobiology, attachment theory and interactive regulation.   In PACT, the therapist will guide couples toward secure functioning, mutual care, and dependability. A shared devotion to absolute safety and security is a necessity, not a luxury, in a successful relationship.

Where do we start?

Couples therapy starts with booking an initial session. The first session is two hours, with the last twenty minutes for charting. Subsequent sessions are one hour, with the last ten minutes used for charting.

Currently, we provide couples therapy in-office only.

We will ask if clients are comfortable with having their sessions recorded as we work to review our sessions and receive supervision to help improve psychotherapy outcomes.
